Well the FBI has totally screwed up this case... so what's next....just when several agencies are using cutting edge DNA research to find criminals like the Grim Sleeper and the Golden State Killer, the FBI just gives up. Seems par for the course. But I have always said, UNTIL PROVEN OTHERWISE MR BISHOP IS STILL ALIVE.

I posted this on the FB FBI Bishop page. Ed Zap Today at 11:48 AM It might be possible to catch Brad Bishop with FAMILIAL DNA. How? Mr Bishop had his DNA entered into CODIS at some point after the crime by the FBI. There has never been a hit. But if Mr Bishop had children since the crime who entered their DNA profile into a DNA database it could be a partial hit. That's how they could catch him at this point. But the FBI has to do the search for Familial DNA. The problem is the FBI has lost interest in Mr Bishop. Now, is it possible for a genetically related person to do their own Familial DNA search? I think that may be possible too, but that would be more difficult since the further away the genetic relation is the less chance for a hit, but I believe it is possible.

The FBI can maybe find out where Bishop is...they have his DNA, IF(and thats a BIG IF) he has a new family and children after the 1976 crime. His children would be adults now, the FBI could screen for a partial match esp in Europe. I am talking non-CODIS screening, Familial DNA Analysis. CODIS so far has not caught up with Mr Bishop. We have to use the voluntary DNA data submission sites like 23&Me, GedMatch etc. So if Mr Bishop tells his kid(s) his family members are all dead or he was adopted etc. The kids get curious and submit their DNA sample. It could be closer than you think. I am sure since the capture of the Grim Sleeper they have thought of this too. I think capturing the Golden State Killer was more difficult because they didn't know what he looked like, didn't have his finger prints either etc.
